The vinyl repair iron is used to melt repair mesh into vinyl for vinyl repair mesh. This iron has a temperature range of 50-350 degrees Celsius(120-650 degrees Fahrenheit). For the best results, set the iron to 290 degrees Celsius and allow the iron to warm up for 5 to 10 minutes. Do not touch the heel of the iron at any point while it is on or after turning it off. The iron will be extremely hot and can cause injury if touched while hot. Once the iron his hot, gently rub the iron over the mesh with a non-stick mat between them. This should only take a few seconds. Keep the placement of the iron at any given time limited to the mesh, so as not to increase the size of the repair. After rubbing the iron over the mesh, press your chill bar over the mesh for a few seconds and allow the bar to cool the repair down. Once the spot has cooled, use your fingernail, pick, or other tools to check how flush the mesh is. It should easily glide over the edge of the mesh with no resistance. If it catches on the edge of the mesh, then it has not been fully melted into the mesh. Repeat this process until the edge of the mesh is completely flush with the vinyl.
